On Wednesday, June 30, Fr. Abraham "Abe" Feliciano, SDB concluded his nine years of service as Province Delegate for Youth Ministry. The province youth ministry (PYM) team and Salesian Family throughout the province are deeply grateful to Fr. Abe, who has remained in awe and admiration of the remarkable young people that the Lord has allowed him to journey with during these years. Although there is a bit of sadness in leaving what has become so familiar, he is extremely joyful and enthusiastic for what is to come. Today, Thursday, July 1, he begins his term of service as director of Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ.
Today also marks the start of Fr. Louis "Lou" Molinelli, SDB's term of service as the new Province Delegate for Youth Ministry. Yesterday, Fr. Lou ended his 10 years of service as director of Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero, LA. He has also worked at Corpus Christi Parish in Port Chester, NY; Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, NJ; St. Petersburg Catholic High School in St. Petersburg, FL; and Mary Help of Christians School in Tampa, FL. He has earned a Master of Arts in Sacred Scripture, Master of Divinity and Master in Educational Administration, in addition to being awarded a Doctor of Humane Letters, Honoris Causa.
Originally from NJ, Fr. Lou is also an alumnus of Don Bosco Prep and has been a Salesian priest for over 30 years. His mission in life is to be like St. John Bosco, a sign and bearer of God's love for the young. “Fr. Lou is an extremely gifted Salesian priest who brings a great spirit of joy and genuine love for young people everywhere he goes,” Fr. Abe remarked. Let us pray for both Fr. Abe and Fr. Lou as they assume their new roles.
