(Etobicoke, ON – February 15) – The Annual Provincial Congress of the Salesian Cooperators of the Province of Canada was held in late January in Toronto. Salesian Cooperators from all the regions of Canada were represented.

With the theme "Thought for Living Synodality in the Church," the meeting was held simultaneously in person and online via Zoom, with the participation of 21 Salesian Cooperators and Delegates.

The Congress fulfilled formative, elective, and presentation purposes. World Coordinator, Antonio Boccia, and Regional Coordinator, Martin Calderon, accompanied the event. Lines of Intervention: Six-Year Plan (2018-2024) was presented. Then, the process for the election of the new Provincial Councilors was carried out. Fr. John Louis Mariapragasam, SDB, served as electoral president. After the election by secret ballot, the new councilors were named. Their positions were decided at a subsequent meeting.

The new members of the Provincial Council for the period 2023-2026 are Joe Conroy (Coordinator), Rosa D'Addario (Secretary), Louise Canfora (Treasurer), Jill Conroy (Formator), and Ann Harding (Counselor).
