(New Rochelle, NY – May 20) – This was more than a championship match; it was a battle of pride, legacy, and brotherhood.
With everything on the line, Salesian High School’s tennis team rose to the occasion and captured the championship with a hard-fought 3-2 victory. Every point mattered. Every match demanded heart. And, when the pressure was highest, the Eagles delivered.
The match results were as follows:
- First Singles — Nick Lenz: 6-3, 6-3
- Second Singles — Kevin Tang: 6-3, 6-2
- First Doubles — Alex Berger / Emanuel Pena: 0-6, 1-6
- Second Doubles — Dominic Debernardo / Alex Schwartz: 2-6, 2-6
Champions are not made when things are easy. They are made in moments of pressure, sacrifice, and belief in one another.
This team fought through every challenge and earned this title together. Don Bosco advised his boys to “Do ordinary things extraordinarily well.” That is exactly what this team did all season long.
Congratulations also to senior Nick Lenz, who finished his high school career undefeated and made Salesian history!
