(Takoma Park, MD – December 19) – The board of trustees of Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School and Corporate Work Study Program in Takoma Park met at the school on Wednesday evening, December 18. Lauralyn Lee, chairman of the board, led the meeting along with Fr. Michael Conway, DBCR president. The guest of honor was Washington Archbishop Wilton Gregory. (The archdiocese and the Salesians co-sponsor the school.) DBCR, founded in 2007, had its first graduation on June 2, 2011, at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington with 70 graduates, who were all accepted to college. Since then, 100% of DBCR graduates have been accepted to college, receiving over $16 million in merit and need-based scholarships. The school is at full capacity with over 500 students.
