Happy 85th Birthday, Fr. Kelly!

Happy 85th Birthday, Fr. Kelly!

By Fr. John Puntino, SDB

(Etobicoke, ON – June 17) – On Friday, June 7, Fr. Francis aka “Frank” or “Cardinal” Kelly turned 85. Though he resides at Kipling Acres Long-term Care Home in Toronto for health reasons, he spreads love, cheer, hope, and healing to all who visit him. The major of Toronto, Her Honor Olivia Chow, and city council members recognized Fr. Kelly’s milestone birthday and sent him official birthday greetings.

For 20 years, Fr. Kelly celebrated a weekly Mass at Kipling Acres. Now, with his health improving, Fr. Kelly will resume his ministry of celebrating the Masses, which, since the pandemic, take place monthly.
