Fr. Javier Aracil Celebrates 90th Birthday

(Stony Point, NY – September 18) – On Friday, September 13, the Marian Shrine community celebrated Fr. Javier Aracil’s 90th birthday!

About 60 family members and friends of Fr. Javier joined us. It was a grace that Fr. Javier’s nephew, Santiago, came from Valencia, Spain, to join us.

The celebration began with a prayer service, followed by a speech by Fr. Javier, who mentioned the need for priests today and his love for his vocation.

Fr. Javier is a great example of the zeal and holiness of a Salesian priest. He hears countless confessions every day at the Shrine chapel at 11:00 a.m. right before the noon Mass.
