(New Rochelle, N.Y. – October 21) – The annual directors’ meeting occurred on Thursday, October 15, at the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians’ Don Bosco Retreat Center in Stony Point, N.Y. The directors enjoyed a beautiful day, during which they discussed the running of the province and finances.
The following day, the province assembly gathered for a day of formation. Genevieve Jordan Laskey from the Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM) delivered a presentation on intergenerational living in religious life. The attendees split into groups: first mixing across generations, then separating into specific generational cohorts. This interactive format fostered open sharing and inspired a collective resolve to live together with mutual love and respect for each other’s gifts, experience, and youthfulness.
One important factor mentioned was that people come from almost every continent to the province. This theme of global unity and diversity was also discussed during the jubilees celebration the next day.
