(New Rochelle, NY – March 4) – The Province Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry hosted the annual Valdocco Retreat at the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians over this past President’s Day weekend, Friday, February 13, to Sunday, February 15.
Spanning 12 different Salesian works or Salesian-affiliated works, there were 105 attendees at this year’s retreat. Participants, chaperones, young team, and core team came together for a joyful weekend filled with the possibility of an encounter with God through the sacraments, witnesses of faith, recreation in the snow, and getting to know one another as Salesian Family.
With sincere gratitude, the province youth and young adult ministry team thanks all parents and adults for their willingness and sacrifice. The team is also grateful to the Salesian Cooperators for their continued generosity and to the Salesian priests who served as confessors for the sacrament of Reconciliation. Lastly, the team thanks the countless others who faithfully accompanied them all in prayer.
It is only together that we can continue to live out this mission of St. John Bosco and the dream to “Be Valdocco” in our daily lives!
