College Park demolition kitchen

by Fr. Mike Mendl, SDB

(College Park, Md. – September 11) – On Monday, September 10, demolition work began inside the house which the province purchased for the D.C. SDB community about a mile south of the University of Maryland campus. Renovations will turn a 1930s boarding house into a modern residence with eight bedrooms, five baths, chapel, new and enlarged kitchen, meeting space, etc.

The photo, taken by Fr. Mike Conway on Tuesday, shows what used to be a kitchen wall full of cabinets and a countertop. At left is the back door leading to the exterior porch.
