Tampa: Salesian Family Gathering

Salesian Family Gathering

(Tampa, FL – August 27) – On Sunday, August 18, members of the various branches of the Salesian Family came together at Mary Help of Christians Center in Tampa for a day of sharing, prayer, formation, and visioning of the future. Fr. Tom Dunne, the coordinator and delegate for the Salesian Family in the Eastern US. Province, and Sr. Denise Sickinger, FMA, delegate of the Salesian Sisters for the Family, traveled from New Jersey to coordinate and lead the gathering. In attendance were lay Salesian Family pilgrims who took part in the 2018 World Meeting of Families trip to Ireland, Salesian Cooperators, SDBs of the MHC community, and FMAs of the Villa Madonna community.

The day began with prayer, light breakfast, and fellowship, then continued with 11:00 a.m. Sunday Mass, at which Fr. Tom presided. After lunch, there were sharing and talks on the Salesian Family and its visioning for the future, as well as a separate meeting of the Salesian Cooperators.
