(Tampa, FL – January 9) – The Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School (CRT) Board of Directors announces that Patrick Liang has been appointed as President and CEO of Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School, effective Monday, January 9.
Mr. Liang will lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of an exceptional program that supports and promotes the school's mission and values with special emphasis on the religious orientation of the school.
His role will be external facing and focus on community engagement, strategic planning, organizational development, fundraising, and financial sustainability.
"The Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School model includes Faith, Education, and Work Study, a powerful combination. The mission here is special, and we are developing the future leaders of our community. I am excited to join the Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School family and look forward to guiding the school to new heights," said Mr. Liang.
"Patrick is a savvy business leader with an extensive corporate background. His skill set will help broaden the knowledge of Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School and expand our partner base with various community leaders and organizations," shared Board Chairman Jeff Sparling. Most recently, Mr. Liang was Vice President of Project Management/Solution Delivery for JP Morgan Chase in New York City, where he focused on implementing firmwide strategic initiatives and tools to better assess company risk and exposure.
"While interviewing Mr. Liang, it became apparent to many of us that his desire to serve as President of Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School stemmed from a passion to assist students from disadvantaged backgrounds in making a positive difference in their lives, guided by his Catholic faith and the Salesian charism which is so important in the school's overall administration and environment," shared Fr. Michael Conway, SDB, St. Philip the Apostle Province.
Mr. Liang was raised in Tampa and attended Jesuit High School and Corpus Christi Catholic School. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering. In addition, he received a Doctor of Philosophy in International Business Administration from Kennedy-Western University. He resides in Tampa with his wife, Ursula, and they have two adult sons.
