Stony Point: National Shrine Holds 9/11 Memorial

(Stony Point, N.Y. – September 16) – This past Friday, September 11, the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians held a service of remembrance, prayer, and reflection for the 25th anniversary of 9/11. We remembered those lost, as well as the heroes and all those affected on that day.

Over 250 people joined together for the service. Officials from the towns of Haverstraw and Stony Point, N.Y., joined the service, reading the names of those lost from Rockland County, N.Y., ringing the bell marking the significant times of the day, and graciously contributing the bagpipe music.

Fr. Pat Angelucci offered the beautiful reflections for the intentions. Additionally, Fr. Manny Gallo gave a moving and heartfelt homily of remembrance and hope.
