(Stony Point, N.Y. – July 8) – This past Saturday, July 4, the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians held the blessing and dedication of its new Adoration Chapel.
Over 100 people attended the event, which followed the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, a patriotic Rosary, and the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass celebrated by Fr. Manny Gallo, SDB, as part of the Shrine’s 32nd Annual Respect for Life event.
Located next to Lee Hall, the stunning Adoration Chapel, which was formerly known as Lomangno Hall, is a valuable and welcome addition for the Shrine community. The space has been beautifully renovated into a chapel with 20 chairs that face the location of the exposed Eucharist.
“I am hopeful that this new Adoration Chapel will send a message to all that the whole purpose of the existence of the Shrine is to proclaim that Jesus is the center of our faith,”
Fr. Manny said. "Also, those who want to continue to grow spiritually can encounter the God of Promise by praying in this Adoration Chapel."
The chapel will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Register for an hour of personal prayer. All are welcome!
