STAFF IN MONTREAL PREPPED FOR SUMMER CAMP

Montreal 2018 Summer Camp Staff

(Montreal – June 11) – On June 8-9, the 70 members of the staff of Happy Days Summer Camp in Montreal participated in the annual camp leadership retreat to prepare for the summer. They were offered several workshops on animator formation topics like communication, leadership styles, and animation techniques. They also had a chance to hear witness talks on self-concept and peer pressure, and then share their own life challenges with each other. They participated in the Eucharist for the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and had the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation.

We also had the privilege of having our “summer Salesian” with us in the person of Fr. Derek Van Daniker, who shared his vocation story.

The young people were very open and trusting, which permitted them really to benefit from the retreat experience.

Anna Tafuto, Theo Vecera, and the coordinating team masterfully led the weekend
