Reminder: Upcoming September CYM Virtual Sessions

Dear CYMs,

The virtual sessions for CYMs will be resuming for the pastoral year.

Please read this brief introduction to digital ministry written by Guilherme Lopes in advance of the meeting: click here for reflection. During this upcoming virtual session, we will be discussing the topic of digital ministry.

Once again, we will not read this reflection together, but rather will discuss it together during our session.

Please begin to reflect on the following questions which can help to guide our discussions: 

a. Which social media (e.g. website, Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, etc.) does your local work/youth ministry currently have?
b. Who is involved/in charge (e.g. CYM, volunteer)? Are young people involved?

How are these social media accounts used (e.g. to promote events, to involve participants' families, to evangelize, etc.)?

What is one difficulty that arises (or that you think would arise) by adding digital ministry to your current youth ministry?

What is one step you can take to implement something you learned from reading this reflection?

As a reminder, we will also be asking you to share on the Call to Action from the May virtual session, which was: Complying with Salesian Safe Environments, reach out to one youth and one young adult who are no longer involved in your youth ministry program and see how they are doing during this pandemic.
