Port Chester: A Happy and Holy Summer at St. John Bosco Parish

Port Chester Summer Program

By Ms. Irma Austin

(Port Chester, NY – July 13) – During the month of July, St. John Bosco Parish Religious Education Ministry is running a Summer Sacramental Program for our Oratory (prayer, fun, and faith education). We are blessed to have two young seminarians, Alex Medoff and Jeremy Puntel from the Archdioceses of Philadelphia, leading our Oratory, along with the help of our parish's young leaders.

The first week of July was focused on our young people preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The next two weeks will focus on young people preparing to receive their First Holy Communion in October. The last week of July and the first week of August will focus on our young people preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Our summer program will help our children discover more deeply the meaning of the sacraments they are preparing to receive. We ask for prayers for our parish young people and those helping to make this program happen!
