(New Rochelle, NY – July 27) – On Thursday, July 20, 34 Salesian Family members arrived in the U.S. from Poland. They are made up of 30 young people and four chaperones, including Fr. Mikolaj Wyczalek, SDB, who coordinated this wonderful opportunity with the Province Delegate of Youth Ministry Fr. Lou Molinelli, SDB.
"I’m so excited about this new adventure," a young lady name Pate shared.
Our Polish Salesian Family will stay through Thursday, August 3. The young people are spending most of their time working at Camp Echo Bay in New Rochelle, NY, during the week.
Last weekend, they journeyed to Manhattan. While there, they visited New York landmarks such as Central Park, Times Square, and the American Museum of Natural History. They hope to go back to the city this Saturday and will go to Fr. Lou's parish in Mahwah, NJ, on Sunday.
"I’m in love with the city! I'm really happy that I have a chance to be here," Zuzia, a 17-year-old from Tarnowskie Gory, beamed. It is her first time in New York, the U.S., and visiting and another continent.
Please pray for all the young people on this trip as they continue to see and experience how different Salesian works operate. Mary Help of Christians, pray for us! St. John Bosco, pray for us! St. Mary Mazzarello, pray for us!
