Newly Ordained Priests Attend Conference

Young Priests Conference

By Fr. Steve DeMaio, SDB, Assistant Vocations Director - Young Adult Ministry

(New Rochelle, NY – June 27) – Last week, Salesian priests who have been ordained within the past five years gathered for the Marten Conference at Notre Dame University. There were various keynote speakers and breakout sessions all following the conference theme of "Living in the Light of the Word: Enlivening the Scriptural Imagination for Preaching." It was a fruitful experience, each one of us receiving something to take back with us as we continue our ministry of preaching as Salesian priests. It was also a good moment for us to spend time together and listen to the different experiences each one had over the year. We are grateful to Vice-Provincial Fr. Dominic Tran, SDB, who organized and accompanied us over these days. Keep praying for us, please!
