(Marrero, LA – February 7) – Archbishop Shaw High School (Archbishop Shaw) celebrated the Feast of Don Bosco over the course of three fun-filled days. On Sunday, January 30, Archbishop Shaw celebrated Sunday Mass in honor of our Founder.

The next day on the Feast of St. John Bosco, Shaw Theatre productions presented The Time Machine—To See the Real Don Bosco. The play was a drama about the life of Don Bosco and was performed by Fr. Steve’s senior religion class.

Representatives from all Archbishop Shaw households would also participate in Salesian Jeopardy. It was wonderful to see them square off to see who knew the most about Mama Margaret, Don Bosco, and the Salesians!

The celebrations came to a close on Tuesday, February 1 with the biggest School Mass of the year. Academy of Our Lady High School and Archbishop Shaw High School came together for the Solemn Mass of Don Bosco at 9:30 am CST in the Shaw gymnasium. The presider and homilist was Archbishop Gregory Aymond. After Mass, all seniors and juniors of both schools ate together at Archbishop Shaw, while all eighth graders, freshmen, and sophomores ate at Academy of Our Lady. Great activities and contests followed, and it was wonderful to gather together as a Salesian community to honor our Founder!
