Hernando: Cooperators See Film on the Sacred Heart

(Hernando, Fla. – June 16) – On Sunday, June 14, the Salesian Cooperators from the St. Dominic Savio Salesian Cooperator Center in Hernando saw the film Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End in Ocala, Fla.

It was moving and definitely worth seeing. The film really made the connection between the devotion of the Sacred Heart to the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist. It featured modern-day testimonials and absolutely beautiful illustrations of astonishing miracles. The movie reminded us of Jesus's boundless love for us and that He always forgives.

It was an appropriate day to see the movie, as we are still in June, the month that is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. One of our volunteers has spent this month distributing Sacred Heart signs throughout Citrus County.

On the drive back home, we passed by Queen of Peace Catholic Church, which is also in Ocala. Our coordinator, Pat Sobel, asked if we would like to stop in, as they have 24/7 Eucharistic Adoration in their Adoration chapel. We gladly said yes.

Sunday, June 14, also happened to be Flag Day. Since this year will be America's 250th birthday, it made the occasion even more special.

We are so blessed as both Christians and Salesians, especially to be in this beautiful country. May our great God continue to bless America every day!
