Ways to Give to Support Ukraine

Through the Salesian Province of Canada and the Eastern USA (SUE)

The Salesians of Don Bosco (SDBs) are asked to send their Province Day gift to Fr. Mike Conway, the province treasurer. Checks should be made out to “Salesian Society, Inc.," with “Ukraine” written in the memo.

SDBs can invite members of the Salesian Family, colleagues, young people, and their families to contribute to the province collection for Ukraine, following the same procedure above. Donors may also make a contribution by credit card or PayPal through our province website. Note, once directed to Paypal, please use the “Covid-19 Emergency Fund” tab until Paypal can be updated.

The Province Day gift and other funds received by the province will be sent to the Rector Major’s emergency response team in Rome for distribution to where they see the greatest need to help young people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Salesian Missions immediately set up a relief fund and, at the request of the Rector Major’s office, Salesian Missions has already sent $50,000 to the Salesian Province of Krakow (PLS) for medicine and their work with refugees from Ukraine.

Don Bosco Mission Office, Montréal (DBMO) has a long-standing relationship with the Salesian Vice Province of Ukraine, especially in support of Salesians in initial formation.

Donations supporting the Salesians in Ukraine can be made to Don Bosco Mission Office by check, credit card, and e-transfer. Thanks to Fr. Adaikala John, SDB, and the people of St. John Bosco Parish, Edmonton, AB, for their contribution of $5,000 to the Ukraine relief fund.
