Port Chester: Young People Receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation

Port Chester: First Confessions

By Fr. Eddie Chincha, SDB, CYM, St. John Bosco Parish

(Port Chester, NY – March 26) – Last week, St. John Bosco Parish finished its round of first confessions (the sacrament of Reconciliation) for its young parishioners preparing for their first communion.

The parish held four penance services, with a total of 136 young people. They attended with their parents and teachers.

During the last few weeks, their catechists and some Confirmation students helped them prepare. The last lesson presented by the catechists featured the 10 commandments. The students watched a short movie on the commandments, had a friendly team quiz with prizes, and then completed an interactive tablet activity.
