Port Chester: Summer Camp at the Don Bosco Community Center

(Port Chester, N.Y. – August 12) – Summer Camp has started again at the Don Bosco Community Center. Many of our parish families partake in the Don Bosco Center’s programs, such as this camp. We’ve welcomed around 50 campers so far and hope to continue growing in the next few weeks. We have Mass every Friday, and I was happy to celebrate this Mass with our kids.

On a personal note, I used to be a camper and a counselor at this summer camp in Port Chester. So, memories came back to me from the Masses we had in camp, from assisting the younger campers to pay attention in Mass. Seeing those same dynamics play out again from the other side of the altar is a privilege.
