THE LUMINOUS MYSTERIES FOR VOCATIONS

The Luminous Mysteries

For members of the Church, and for particular vocations

1. The Baptism of Jesus

“You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22)

That young people, parents, educators and church ministers promote a vocation culture, helping all to embrace the foundational vocation – being beloved children of God, and to discern and live each particular vocation as a gift of the Father’s love

2. The Wedding at Cana

“On the third day there was a wedding in Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding” (John 2:1-2)

For families and those who are called to the vocation of marriage

3. The Proclamation of the Kingdom of God

“Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.” (Mark 1:38-39)

For an increase of missionary vocations and a commitment to being missionary disciples in all believers

4. The Transfiguration of Jesus

“And he was transfigured before them; his face shone like the sun and his clothes became white as light.” (Matthew17:1-2)

For an increase of vocations to communities that educate and form people in the faith and those who share these ministries

5. The Institution of the Eucharist

“While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
(Matthew 26:26)

For an increase of vocations to the priesthood
