DBYLC Staff Christmas Party

Montreal DBYLC Christmas Party 2025

By Fr. Richard Authier, SDB, Director, Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre (DBYLC)

(Montreal, QC – December 22) – The Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre (DBYLC) has a generous youth staff to animate and lead its mission and work. So, every Christmas the DBYLC offers them a Christmas staff party. This party contains a prayer service, an excellent supper, social games like bingo, a donation from them to needy children, and a gift exchange between the group. The party ends up being a wonderful and lively evening for all.

This year, the DBYLC’s prayer service had a more in-depth spirituality. We enjoyed a video of a beautiful and lively presentation of all the aspects of the birth of Jesus and how to apply the meaning of His birth to all of our lives. Then, in the second portion, we gently and individually asked various staff members to place the personages in the creche. Again, we tried to have each person come up, to see how a particular personage could apply which virtues and graces to their present lives. It was touching to see how they seemed to really see themselves in the various members of the creche of the Child Jesus.

To all our readers, we wish you a holy Christmas and a challenge to live like Jesus, Mary and Joseph. Be assured of my prayers at my Christmas Mass for each and all of you.
