Tampa: Happy Retirement, Michel Merzier!

Farewell Cake for Michel

By Lili DeGrasse

(Tampa, FL – June 4) – Michel Merzier, one of the maintenance and groundskeeping crew at Mary Help of Christians Center, is retiring after 29 years of service. Mr. Merzier, originally from Haiti, moved to Tampa to work at Mary Help of Christians at the request of the Salesians almost 30 years ago, when he was assisting the Salesians at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church in Belle Glade, FL, where his wife worked at the parish office.

Salesians and staff offered Mr. Merzier and fond and appreciative farewell, wishing him a happy retirement.
