Reflecting on St. Joseph

St. Joseph Reflections

(New Rochelle, NY — March 14) — The Feast of St. Joseph is this Saturday, March 19. Last year, we featured reflections and interviews from our confreres on their personal devotions to St. Joseph. We reached to them last week and asked if they would like to share some advice with us today. Three of our confreres responded and were happy to share their thoughts:

"For me, St. Joseph is a model for my priesthood because he was available to help Mary and Jesus in whatever was needed—which is very Salesian."

- Fr. Richard Authier, SDB, Director, Don Bosco Youth Leadership Centre, Montréal, QC

"We turn to St. Joseph to protect the people in Ukraine and the world."

- Br. Bernie Dubé, SDB, Assistant Coordinator of Youth Ministry, New Rochelle, NY

"God wants our Salesian Mission to thrive, so He will provide. Just trust and don’t wait to have everything perfectly planned or funded—leave it up to St. Joseph to take care of the cost."

- Fr. Steve Ryan, SDB, Director, Archbishop Shaw High School,Marrero, LA

May St. Joseph guide and protect us in all our endeavors. We pray for him to watch over all families and workers, especially those in the Ukraine and Eastern Europe. St. Joseph, pray for us!
