ONTARIO: ST. BENEDICT’S YM TEAM REFRESHES SELVES WITH RETREAT

Toronto retreat

(Etobicoke, Ont. – June 21) – From June 15 to June 17, the core team at St. Benedict Parish in Etobicoke headed to a cottage at Niagara-on-the-Lake for their annual year-end retreat. This team is comprised of young adults in post-secondary school or working professionals who lovingly volunteer their time and talents to the various youth ministry programs and events at the parish, namely, weekly oratory evenings, Salesian leadership retreats, catechism classes, fundraisers, and many more events.

The weekend retreat is an opportunity to reconnect as a community and be spiritually fed with moments of prayer and self-reflection. It is easy to lose connections with each other when the time is focused on serving the youths and their families throughout the year. We treated ourselves to come relaxation time on Crystal Beach (pictured). Unfortunately, some of the team members had previous commitments and couldn’t be present. The parish is very thankful for these young adults who continue to pour their hearts into the various ministries at St. Benedict.
