NY: CONFIRMATION CONFERRED IN PORT CHESTER

Bishop and Newly Confirmed

(Port Chester, N.Y. – May 4) – The Same Spirit!  Bishop Josu Iriondo, auxiliary of the New York Archdiocese, presided at Confirmation for St. John Bosco Parish in Port Chester on Saturday, April 28, conferring the sacrament upon 155 young people, renewing them with the same Spirit that descended on the apostles at Pentecost.

Bishop Iriondo encouraged the newly confirmed to embrace and use boldly and confidently the gifts of the Holy Spirit throughout their Christian lives. He expressed to the young people that they are now marked with the cross of Jesus and therefore are claimed by Jesus to continue His works and love to all! Through its church ministries, especially youth ministry, St. John Bosco Parish will accompany its young people as they go forward to do the works of Jesus.
