Montreal: Escoge Team Hosts Valdocco Retreat

By Fr. Tito Iannaccio, SDB, Animator, Don Bosco Latino Ministry

(Montreal, QC – June 10) – From Thursday, June 4, to Sunday, June 7, thirty-seven young people gathered to participate in the Valdocco Retreat, hosted by the ESCOGE team.

The retreat was organized excellently. The reflection focused on the four points of the 2026 Strenna: see, listen, decide, and act. There were many moments of spiritual enrichment for the participants, especially daily Eucharist and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.

On Friday evening, three Latino priests were available for those who chose to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation. From 10:00 p.m. on Saturday to 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, the Blessed Sacrament was exposed for adoration. There were also times for group reflection, plenary sessions for sharing, healthy recreation, and fraternal meals.

Finally, there was a surprise visit from provincial Fr. Dominic Tran, SDB, who left a positive impression on everyone.

This retreat helped everyone to get to know Don Bosco better, to embrace Salesian spiritual values, and to put them into practice in their lives.
