Etobicoke: A Visit from the Salesian Rector in Nazareth

Salesian Rector in Nazareth Visits Etobicoke

By Rosina Di Felice

(Etobicoke, ON – October 11) – The Salesian Rector in Nazareth, Fr. Munir Al Raie, was in Canada to visit his ailing father, Samaan Sarkis Al Raie, who passed away on September 27, 2022.  On Monday, October 3, a memorial Mass was held at St. Benedict Parish, presided by Fr. Munir and concelebrated by the Salesian community.  At the end of the Mass, Fr. John Louis Mariapragasam conveyed condolences in the name of the Etobicoke Community.

Fr. Munir was previously provincial in the Middle East. Fr. Sean McEwen and some of our confreres who completed theology in Ratisbourn Jerusalem, Israel knew Fr. Munir. We continue to convey our heartfelt condolences to his family, especially to his mother, Mariam.
