Edmonton: Lenten Mission at St. John Bosco Parish

Lenten Mission in Edmonton

By Rev. Dr. J. Adaikalaraja, SDB

(Edmonton, AB — March 11)
— St. John Bosco Parish organized its Lenten mission from Monday, March 7, through Wednesday, March 9. The parish held this mission to meaningfully celebrate Lent and help prepare the parishioners to reflect on the word of God. It was preached by Rev. Mark Blom, OMI, co-pastor at Sacred Heart Parish of the First Nations. The central theme was "Mission, Participation, and Communion" (Synod themes). It was well attended and deeply appreciated by our parishioners, who came in large numbers despite the cold evenings.
