CANADA: YOUTHS OF SALESIAN PARISHES IN EDMONTON RISE UP

Edmonton youth workshop

(Edmonton, Alta. – May 26) – St. John Bosco Church in Edmonton hosted 55 youths from the three Salesian parishes in the city on May 25 for a day-long youth development workshop titled “Youth Arise 2019.” It was first such gathering as the Salesians try to rebuild their presence and revive the local Salesian Cooperators unit. The program was animated by Fr. Samson Antony David, who gave three talks on the themes “Born to Live,” “Called to Love,” and “Aim to Reach the skies.” Fr. Dominic Tran, the vocation promotor of the New Rochelle Province, gave a talk on vocation and sacraments. There were also enjoyable activities, games, and food. The Edmonton unit of Salesian Cooperators took the initiative together with the Salesian community to organize this full-day event. A youth Mass and BBQ dinner and dance concluded the day.
