Water 4 Mercy Divine Mercy Weekend

By Water 4 Mercy

(Stockbridge, MA – May 14) – The Divine Mercy Weekend, held on Saturday, April 26, and Sunday, April 27, at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Stockbridge, MA, brought together thousands of pilgrims for a transformative event. The weekend featured a series of powerful spiritual activities, including Masses, reflections, and prayers, centered around the theme of Divine Mercy. Water 4 Mercy, led by Nermine Khouzam Rubin, highlighted its mission to provide clean water and education to underserved communities in Africa.

A major highlight of the weekend was Water 4 Mercy’s announcement as an official Apostolate of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception, strengthening their shared commitment to mercy and faith. This partnership is further bolstered by Water 4 Mercy’s collaboration with the Salesians in Africa, particularly through the Don Bosco Technical Institutes. Together, they are empowering youth with education and addressing critical needs like clean water and sustainable agriculture in communities across Africa.

The weekend also featured several inspiring talks and activities, including Nermine’s address to over 15,000 pilgrims, where she shared the vision behind Water 4 Mercy and its ongoing initiatives. She also joined Marian Fathers on EWTN to discuss their impactful service trip to Tanzania, showcasing the work they’ve done to bring clean water and educational resources to local communities.

In addition to spiritual services, the event provided opportunities for attendees to engage directly with Water 4 Mercy’s mission. Visitors to the Water 4 Mercy booth could learn about the organization’s projects, meet student leaders, purchase exclusive merchandise, and make donations to support the cause.

This growing partnership is already yielding transformative results. With efforts focused on expanding educational programs and providing sustainable solutions, Water 4 Mercy, the Marian Fathers, and the Salesians are not just meeting immediate needs—they are also laying the foundation for long-term empowerment, creating lasting change for future generations.
