Washington: DBCR Students Participate in Operation Outbreak

Washington: Operation Outbreak

(Takoma Park, MD – March 20) – Don Bosco Cristo Rey (DBCR) High School students learned about what it takes to lead a community through the next pandemic through the nationwide Operation Outbreak simulation program.

DBCR students role-played in science, healthcare, government, and policy in a challenging pathogen outbreak scenario. Students in key roles did a great job as they navigated the chaos. This included the aspiring “biomedical researchers,” who successfully created a vaccine for our outbreak.

The entire school community remains grateful to Dr. Todd Brown, founder of Operation Outbreak, for having brought yet another amazing hands-on experience to students as part of DBCR’s amazing STEM program!
