Stony Point: Warrior Women for Christ

(Stony Point, NY – January 31) – Frs. Manny Gallo and Steve Shafran presented a one-day retreat for women in Lee Hall on Saturday, January 21. The theme, "Warrior Women for Christ," was about the courageous women found in the Bible, including the Blessed Mother Mary, who serve as role models for today’s women.

One hundred and fifty attendees came to the all-day session, which included three talks, lunch, adoration with confession, and closed with the celebration of the Mass. Music for the prayer sessions and Mass was provided by one of the Marian Shrine's music directors, Catherine Ramirez. The retreat team at the Marian Shrine has been offering a number of new programs created to serve the needs of the faithful as identified through their work with area parishes.
