Stony Point: Shrine Holds Advent Retreat

Stony Point: Advent Retreat 2025

By Jennifer Passerino, Salesian Family

(Stony Point, NY – December 10) – This past Saturday, December 6, the National Shrine of Mary Help of Christians hosted its beautiful annual Advent retreat. Over 75 men and women participated in the annual event, a way to prepare hearts during Advent for Christmas.

The day began with praise and worship and an opening prayer service. Fr. Pat Angelucci gave a beautiful talk about ways to open your heart during the season for the birth of Jesus. After lunch, adoration, and confession, Salesian director Fr. Manny Gallo celebrated the vigil Mass. Mrs. Catherine Ramirez supplied the music throughout the day.
