Stony Point: Marian Shrine Hosts Second Annual Gala

Stony Point: Marian Shrine Second Annual Gala

By Ms. Donna Valentino, Secretary to the Director, Marian Shrine

(Stony Point, NY – October 2) – On Thursday, September 26, the Marian Shrine hosted its second annual gala and celebrated people from the community who go above and beyond to help those in need.

The ANIMAS Community Award refers to Don Bosco's motto in Latin “Da Mihi Animas,” which means “Give Me Souls.” Our honorees are people who exemplify that motto in their daily lives.

Over 70 people joined together at the Marian Shrine in Fr. Lee Hall to celebrate the honorees—Jim Monaghan, Eileen Peterson, Diego and Linda Aviles, and Ellen Kelly Donovan.

All the honorees were humbled and honored to be recognized. Our thanks to Lynch’s on the Green for catering the event!
