Sherbrooke: Le Salésien Wins Big at Science Expo

(Sherbrooke, QC – March 28) – This past weekend, Le Salésien students competed in the Estrie regional finale of the Hydro-Quebec science expo. Congratulations to Mariane Angers, Anna Shakhbazava, Emma Gagnon, Penelope Proteau, François Hogue, Laurie Chicoine, Nalyane Lefebvre, Loumi Turcotte, and Lilianne Lavoie!

Silver medals went to the team of Nalyane Lefebvre and Loumi Turcotte, and the team of Emma Gagnon and Penelope Proteau. Lilianne Lavoie and Anna Shakhbazava each won gold medals.

The big winner of the regional science expo is Anna Shakhbazava for her project "The unusual dimension." In addition, Mariane Angers, Penelope Proteau, Emma Gagnon, Anna Shakhbazava, and Lilianne Lavoie will be part of the external delegation to the Quebec Science Expo in Montreal next month.

Well done to our young scientists who had an extremely positive and very enriching experience. Congratulations again to all the participants, and good luck to those who continue the adventure in the finals at the end of April!
