Salesian Family Unites at NCYC 2024

NCYC 2024

By Mrs. Amy Stockinger, Program Coordinator, Province Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry

(New Rochelle, NY – November 25) – From November 14-16, the Salesian Family was strongly represented at the National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) in Long Beach, CA. The four Salesian provinces (two SDB and two FMA) came together to design and animate a booth space based on Salesian youth spirituality.

The Salesian Family was also asked to design a prayer space, which included an examination of conscience based on Salesian youth spirituality that led to the Reconciliation room.

Several Salesian youth groups from across the provinces, including one from Port Chester, participated in NCYC. JC Montenegro and young adults from the SUO Province presented on bridging the gap between generations. Sr. Elfie Del Rosario, FMA, presented a breakout session on living a joyful life. Sr. Elfie has also been announced as one of the two emcees for NCYC 2025.
