(Etobicoke, ON – May 27) – Salesian Cooperators from six centres across five provinces of Canada came together on the weekend of May 15-17, to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Association. They met at Villa Saint Martin, a Jesuit Renewal Centre in the Montréal area.

The program exemplified a true Salesian oratory, where everyone felt at home and enjoyed fellowship, music, dancing, and games. The prayer moments included liturgical and devotional prayers, including a Salesian-inspired Rosary with five mysteries from the life of our Lord that were reflected in the life of St. John Bosco. The Councillor for the Interamerica Region of Salesian Cooperators, Martín Calderon, gave a talk on living the Cooperators’ vocation, and the newly-elected Canadian Provincial Council presented its three-year plan.

This is the first such gathering of representatives from every Salesian Cooperators centre in Canada.
