We, the Salesian Family, pray in thanksgiving to God for the gift of Pope Francis to humanity and to the Church.

We thank Pope Francis for his life, witness, leadership, and ministry.

Pope Francis knew us Salesians well. As members of the Salesian Family, let us honor him by continuing to live his final message to the Salesians of Don Bosco during the recent general chapter, which is indeed a message to the whole Salesian Family.

Pope Francis wrote, "I thank you for the good you do all over the world, and I encourage you to continue with perseverance."

And may the closing words of his message remain with us as a sentiment of his love and his blessing for us: "I heartily bless you and your chapter works, as well as your confreres in all six continents, and I ask you, please, to pray for me. May Mary Help of Christians accompany you always."
