RAMSEY, N.J.: DBP CELEBRATES FEAST OF ST. JOHN BOSCO WITH BISHOP MANUEL CRUZ

Feast of St John Bosco Bishop Cruz

(Ramsey, N.J. – February 1) – As is its custom, on January 31 Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey celebrated marked the feast of St. John Bosco with a solemn Mass. This year the school welcomed Auxiliary Bishop Manuel Cruz of Newark to celebrate the Mass with the student body, faculty, and staff, as well as alumni and family in Immaculata Hall Gymnasium.

Students came to school in formal dress to show the respect they hold for St. John Bosco. Don Bosco’s music ministry groups (choral and instrumental) played beautifully, as always, and the youth ministry team helped organize the event.

DBP surrounds the feast of St. John Bosco with its Spirit Week, a week filled with fun and activities. St. John Bosco intended all his schools to be not

only places of learning, but also playgrounds, places for worship, and a home for his students. DBP honors his wishes every day, but especially so during Spirit Week. For DBP students, Spirit Week is one of the most highly anticipated weeks of the year!
