(Port Chester, NY – February 26) – One of this month’s highlights in Port Chester was our Don Bosco Youth Rally. It served as a preparation for Baptism and a celebration of the Salesian Spirit. This event is mostly carried out by high school teens for middle school ones. It is beautiful to see so many committed young people give back to their parish and be protagonists in our evangelization efforts and how our younger kids are so receptive to them.

We had a beautiful day full of prayer, games, worship music, Mass, and food. For me, the most inspiring part of the day was to see how these kids, at such a young age, acknowledged prayer as the most important part of the day and how devout and comfortable they felt while they prayed. The entire parish—FMAs, Cooperators, parents, religious ed teachers, and SDBs—gathered to create and host this event on behalf of the young.
