Port Chester: Meeting Jesus in the Holy Eucharist

Youth Offertory

By Irma Austin

(Port Chester, NY – October 22) – On October 19-20, 130 children from St. John Bosco Parish in Port Chester celebrated their first Holy Communion. In his homily on Saturday evening, Fr. Pat Angelucci, pastor, shared with the children stories of St. Dominic Savio and his first Holy Communion. On Sunday during the 11:00 a.m. Mass, five children from our Special Needs Program received Jesus for the first time sacramentally. In his homily on Sunday, Fr. Manny Gallo, parochial vicar, gave testimony to the power of prayer and faith in our lives as we continue to meet Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. The parish of St. John Bosco rejoices with its youngsters and will pray that they may love Jesus in the Holy Eucharist more and more each day.
