Novices Attend the SUO Province's PAD

Novices Attend PAD in the West

By Novice Pascal Mukuye

(Richmond, CA — April 17) — From Wednesday, April 12, through Friday, April 14, Salesians in the SUO Province met at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, CA, for Province Assembly Days (PAD). Approximately 60 confreres were in attendance. Novice John Taylor, the post novices (Brs. Michael, Thomas, and Reegan), and I were also present.

The theme for this PAD was "Celebration, Reconciliation, and Transformation." At the PAD, the province's departments shared a brief report of what they have done during the past three years. Each house also shared the state of its community and works. The provincial, Fr. Melchor Trinidad, SDB, shared the state of the province by highlighting both the accomplishments to be celebrated and the challenges to be faced.

The PAD ended with a spirit of transformation, hope, and personal renewal—a call to continue carrying on the Salesian mission with zeal for souls in the midst of struggles. The PAD was a very good moment of camaraderie and fellowship. It also served as a beautiful time of praying and sharing meals together and updating the confreres on the state of the province.

Novice John and I were happy to attend. Please, remember our brothers in the SUO Province in your prayers.
