New Rochelle: Salesian High Robotics Teams Score Big

(New Rochelle, NY – March 1) – On Saturday, February 18, Salesian High School's two robotics teams, the Golden Eagles #21429 and the Silver Eagles #21428, performed very well.

Led by Aidan O’Driscoll '23, Aaron Jiang '23, Andres Rubio '24, Eric Deda '23, and Kenneth Paredez '23, the Golden Eagles won four out of five qualifying matches. They ranked number three among 27 teams, which qualified them for the semi-final round as the third captain and won third place for the Innovation Award.

The Silver Eagles, as led by Michael Outlar '25, Charlie Coscia '26, Jorge Bello '26, Matthew Carrasco '26, Curtis Hoggard, and Richard Le '25, had an energetic performance. They also won four out of five qualifying matches with ranking number six and were chosen by the second-rank team to compete in the semi-final round. The Silver Eagles qualified for the NY Excelsior State Championship on Sunday, March 5, in Utica, NY.
