New Rochelle: Salesian High Environmental Club Embraces Creation

Salesian High Season Of Creation

By Mr. Christopher Beal Director of Finance & Facilities, Salesian High School

(New Rochelle, NY – October 4) – With the call of “laborare est orare,” Salesian High School students continued to embrace the Season of Creation. The school’s environmental club has been emboldened recently with the completion of the newly added solar panels on the roof of the Br. Jim Wiegand, SDB, Athletic Center and growth of the native plant gardens. This past week, the group of young men continued the renovation of the greenhouse at the Salesian Provincial Center and began the beautification of the Mary Help of Christians circle. During October, the members will continue their work revitalizing the grotto and begin harvesting for the winter months.
