New Rochelle: Salesian High Alumnus Honored

John Rapisardi Honored

By Fr. Jim Heuser, SDB, President, Salesian High School

(New Rochelle, NY – September 23) – Salesian High School, a school that prepares young men for life, warmly congratulates John Rapisardi, Class of 1975, and former 20-year trustee of Salesian, on being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by Catholic Renewal.

At the Saint Francis Reception held at the New York Athletic Club in Manhattan on Wednesday, September 17, John was honored by 600 of his peers in the corporate restructuring industry for his integrity, humility, and charity, manifested throughout his exceptional career. While engaged in both national and international legal cases, he has always kept his eye singularly focused on serving those Jesus called “the least of these,” the poor, the hungry, and the migrant.

John helped Catholic Renewal raise $2.1 million this year to support the emergency food programs of Catholic Charities of New York. Don Bosco stated that a Salesian education aims to prepare “honorable citizens and good Christians.” The Salesian High School community is proud of John for being both, and for truly making a difference.
