New Rochelle: Sacraments of Initiation

(New Rochelle, NY – April 22) – On Saturday, April 18, twelve Salesian High School students and one alumnus received the sacraments of initiation at a 10:00 a.m. Mass in the school chapel.

New Rochelle community and Salesian Missions director Fr. Mike Conway, SDB, presided and preached, and four Salesians concelebrated. Salesian High School theology teacher Dcn. Martin Asiamah assisted.

Religion teacher Mike Marasco prepared the 13 young men since last September. Joseph Vanderpool, music director of Sts. John and Paul Parish in Larchmont, provided organ, piano, and violin music and led singing.

The alumnus was Alexander Caban. The students were 9th graders William Caban, Joseph Winslow, Edwin Lopez, Ari Arce, John Notaro, and Ethan Bennett; 10th graders José Tavarez, Justin Tavarez, and Jaden Figueroa; and 12th graders Vaughn Meier, Aramis Choice, and Alfred Barrera.
